Morning Memo - 2024-03-05
I have expressed my concerns about the multiple prosecutions of Donald Trump. Those concerns do not arise from my undying admiration for Donald Trump. In the process of pursuing their hatred for this man, attorneys, prosecutors, and secretaries of State have shown an incredible willingness to trample over the voting rights of the citizens that many of these people claim to represent.
The Supreme Court came to its collective senses in finding that Colorado could not exclude Trump from the primary ballot. The exclusion of Trump from the Colorado ballot was adjudicated by the Colorado Supreme Court and supported by our Secretary of State, Jena Griswold.
Expressing my opinion that the members of the Colorado Supreme Court and Secretary Griswold should all be removed from office evidently got my Facebook membership suspended. That suspension indicates to me that I must've made some valid comments.
I have little hope that my comments will drive these incompetents from office, but I felt I should learn something about one of the people who represents me as a fifth-generation native of Colorado. So, I looked up Jena Griswold on Wikipedia and discovered unsurprising evidence of hypocrisy.
According to Wikipedia, she "worked for President Barack Obama's 2012 campaign as a voter protection attorney." I do not know the meaning of the term "voter protection attorney," but it seems a little ironic for a woman who wants to compromise the rights of voters throughout the U.S.
I do not direct my comments to Jena Griswold personally. I only mean to comment on the behavior pattern that she seems to represent. The citizens no longer seem to matter.
