Morning Memo - 2023-11-30
There is so much in the news these days that thinking of something about which to write offers no challenge, unless you want to write something uplifting and encouraging. Then, it becomes a bit of a challenge. Even the reporting on the current events generally proves discouraging.
The world watches as two major wars rage as a result of unprovoked, vicious attacks by one side against the other. World "leaders" can't seem to decide which side to support.
Here in the U. S. we have (I will only list the events.)
Crime in the city
Inflation
Foreign Invasion (on the borders)
Political campaigns by the mindless
Protests by the ignorant
Schools collapsing
Language in like decline
Artificial crises meant to enslave us (e.g., "climate change")
Gender confusion
Diversity over competence
I could continue, but I don't enjoy depression.
No wonder I watch cop shows and music videos instead of the news. I know the first is not real, and I find the second uplifting.
So, why bother?
I'm reasonably sure that a relatively small minority causes all the mayhem. The majority seems indifferent.
Jim Morrison had the best advice for the majority:
"WAKE UP!!"
